Why I Offer Payment Plans To My Wedding Clients

I know that most of my rad ass couples have a lot on their plate while planning their wedding. There are tons of vendors who require hefty non-refundable retainers and within 30 days of signing a contract they have to pay the remaining invoice balance. Over the past 10+ years in the photography and wedding industry, I have learned that high non-refundable retainers and requiring instant full payments from couples actually doesn’t always work for everyone. I don’t want to put my rad ass couples into a bind during one of the raddest times in their lives

When planing your perfect wedding day, I want you to rest assured you can do so with a plan that works for you, your fiancé, and your wedding day budget.

Most of my rad ass wedding couples book their engagement session and wedding photography about 6-8 months out. Yes there are some that book a year+ out and some who have had to book with less time out due to many different reasons.

Everything done at Heather J. Keys Photography is done using an online Contract that has been approved and written by my attorney.  I always send out a detailed outline of the invoice, which includes services and products that are requested. The invoice is paid online and you’ll always have access to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much is the Non-refundable retainer for your wedding photography services?
A: Typically it will be 30% to 50% of the total invoice, however I’m happy to split up the non-refundable retainer for services if needed.

Q: How much do I need to pay each months?
A: The amount each month will depend on what is contracted and invoice, minus the upfront non-refundable retainer. I can divide the payments up evenly and you can pay monthly. Or you can have specific amounts set up for each month. I want to make sure it’s a payment plan that works specifically for you.

Q: When does the invoice need to be paid by?
A: Invoice must be paid in-full no later than 30 days prior to your wedding date.

Q: Can I pay early or in full when I book?
A: Absolutely

I have openings for both engagement portrait sessions and weddings. If your wedding requires for me to travel, please reach out sooner rather than later to book your wedding.
